Earlier today, a fellow mum blogger Shiko Nguru asked for referrals to schools offering music/dance/theatre for kids in Nairobi. I could only think of Wynton House of Music then. Other parents however did give her more names for other places within Nairobi. That was the genesis for this article.

With the December holidays lasting 2 months this time round, parents will need all activities they can find and sign their kids up for (over and above sending them to their grannies).
Here is a list of schools for the arts which you can check out and prepare your pockets in time for for the extra long holidays. We will be doing two more lists of schools/spaces for other extra curricula activities like Martial arts, games, sports Science & Tech. The last article in this series will be one for family and kids events happening during the Dec holidays.

Although this one is not a school, the Art of Music Foundation is worth checking out as well for the great work they are doing with the Ghetto Classics program based in Korogocho and the National Youth Orchestra of Kenya.
