The Shuk: Sampling the flavours of Israel

We all dream of visiting Israel given the nation’s history, we all want to visit where Jesus Christ was buried, visit the Holiest wall in the face of the earth and visit Jerusalem which is also the very centre of the earth. But what if the Holy Land was brought to you here in Nairobi?

The Israeli food festival brings a taste of Israel to Kenya without you having to cross the borders. With a variety of wines and foods that will excite your taste buds, this festival will also help you understand the Jewish culture more.

From the 12th to 16th of March from 6.30pm to 10.30pm at Dusit hotel, the festival will be hosted at the Soko Restaurant for only sh4,500 per person. The festival is the first of its kind in Kenya.

You will get to experience an Israeli market where you can taste from 20 different varieties of wine coming from 5 of the best vineyards in Israel and have more than 15 bitings from eight food stations.

The starters

One can get to taste and experience Shawarma, Falafel, Three types of Tahini, three types of cheese, three types of halva, a range of olives, pickles, spices and so much more.

There will also be music and art show plus a raffle of 2 free round tickets to Israel.
