The Kenyan Blog Awards’ Nominees Named as the Voting Phase is Launched

The list of this year’s nominees for the 2015 BAKE Kenya Blog Awards is out. The voting phase was launched earlier today at the Intercontinental hotel with Airtel Kenya announcing that they will be this year’s main sponsors.

Speaking at the Voting phase launch, the Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi remarked that Airtel has recognized the unique and important role that the Kenyan Blogging community has continued playing hence their decision to sponsor this year’s awards.

The Bloggers Association of Kenya *BAKE) Chairman Kennedy Kachwanya noted the growth in the awards since their inception in 2012 in the quality and  quantity of blogs entered, number of voters as well as in their significance to the winners. Indeed one of the winners in last year’s awards in the Travel category, Racheal Muthoni who runs Safari 254 spoke on the importance of winning the awards in validating her work and in helping her approach brands for partnerships and advertising on her blog.

The Voting Phase which starts today will go on till April 30th 2015 with the Winners Gala Event happening on May 2nd 2015.
